Managing your economic empire across the wasteland is a massive part of your survival strategy, but occasionally, you might find the entrance to a new Trade level temporarily locked or unavailable.
If you are currently blocked from entering or starting a new Trade outpost, it is completely normal! This is a built-in progression mechanic designed to ensure your character's combat power and business profits grow together.
To break through the lock and get back to business, look at the description window that pops up when you tap the level icon and check which requirement you need to fulfill:
⚔️ Requirement 1: Reach a Specific Fight Mode Level
The wasteland is dangerous, and your employees can't set up shop if the local area is overrun by hordes. Many advanced Trade levels require you to clear a designated milestone stage in Fight Mode first. If this is your current bottleneck, jump over to the Fight tab, challenge the active Boss, and advance your stage progress to automatically clear the restriction.
📈 Requirement 2: Increase Your Total Profit Percentage
Certain trading hubs require a prestigious economic setup before they will open their gates to you. If the description states that you need to upgrade your profit percentage, you will need to actively boost your global multipliers before that specific level becomes playable.

If you need to quickly inflate your profit percentages to clear a level requirement, your absolute best destination is the Profit Modes menu. This menu contains the three core pillars of your global passive income:
- Trade Gear: Always read the item descriptions on your hats, backpacks, and tools. Equip your highest-tier Trade pieces to instantly surge your profit margins.
- Books: Collecting and leveling up educational survival guides provides permanent passive multipliers to your global management capabilities.
- Farming (Herbs): Tending to your resource crops allows you to harvest rare botanical specimens. Much like gear, different herbs provide distinct passive bonuses—ensure you are cultivating and utilizing the strains that specify a direct boost to your Trade operations.
