Feature Overview

As your sawmill scales up and you unlock advanced, high-value production machines, your factory's internal supply chain automatically adapts. This optimized logistics logic prioritizes advanced materials to keep your production moving smoothly and maximize profits.

How to Access

This logic activates automatically on your main factory floor as soon as you purchase and establish any machine that processes a material into its next refined tier (for example, unlocking the Resaw machine right after the Canting machine).

Core Mechanics

When you unlock a more advanced manufacturing machine, your raw and semi-finished resources undergo a logistical shift:

  • Processing Priority: Materials from the previous tier machine (such as cants) are now funneled directly into the newly unlocked machine to be processed into higher-tier resources (such as rough lumber).

  • Storage Bypass: Because these mid-tier items are now entirely consumed by the next step of the production line, they are no longer delivered by forklifts to your primary warehouse storage.

  • Order Impact: Since cants are no longer being stocked in your warehouse, you will find yourself unable to fulfill legacy delivery orders that specifically request that intermediate material.

Tips and Strategies

  • Rotate Your Orders: If you have an active delivery order requiring cants that you can no longer supply, simply cancel the order. Accepting a fresh contract will generate a new order that asks for your newly unlocked, higher-value materials.

  • Upgrade Your Speed: When you launch a new machine, make sure to immediately upgrade its processing speed. Keeping its speed balanced with the previous machine ensures that materials do not pile up on the conveyor belts and stall your entire line.
