Feature Overview
Moving your timber business to a new factory level triggers the core Prestige Mechanic of Lumber Inc. While it might look shocking at first to see your busy factory floor suddenly cleared, this reset is an intentional and necessary step toward ultimate tycoon status. Upgrading your sawmill trades your old, maxed-out assembly setup for massive permanent income multipliers and prestige rewards, allowing you to build an exponentially more efficient and lucrative corporate empire.
How to Access
This transition occurs the exact moment you confirm a factory relocation via the Sawmill Upgrade Menu (factory icon on the bottom-left corner of your dashboard).
Core Mechanics & Retained Assets
When you transition to a new sawmill level, your physical factory layout, machine upgrade stages, and active cash balances are completely wiped clean so your assembly lines can reboot with advanced technology.
However, your hard-earned corporate assets, currencies, and administrative progress are permanently safeguarded. The following elements transfer with you into your new factory completely untouched:
Premium Currency: All your collected Diamonds remain securely in your account.
Corporate Capitals: Your entire stock of accumulated Biz Points and Reputation Points is preserved.
Staff Infrastructure: Your entire roster of unlocked Manager Cards stays intact, along with all their current level promotions.
Supply Caches: Any unopened Chests stored in your shop inventory carry over safely.
The Construction Sector: Your Workshop progress, unlocked house blueprints, and blueprint evolution levels are completely unaffected by the reset.
Important Rules
⚠️ The Point of No Return: Relocating your industrial operations is a strictly one-way permanent action. You cannot return to a previous sawmill level under any circumstances once the upgrade button has been pressed. Because your managers stay at their high levels, you will navigate through the early machine setups at a lightning-fast pace compared to your previous experience.
Tips and Strategies
The Logistical Wake-Up Prep: Higher sawmills require progressively higher manager levels to maintain automatic operations. Before pulling the trigger on a factory upgrade, review your Logistics Managers. If they aren't leveled up enough for the new tier, your forklift drivers will fall asleep immediately upon your arrival, causing an instant logistics bottleneck.
Spend Your Liquid Cash First: Since your current cash balance resets to zero during a move, don't leave money on the table! Right before upgrading your sawmill, spend all your remaining cash on leveling up your current machines to complete any pending achievements or leaderboard milestones.
