Feature Overview
With the expansion of factory capabilities and the introduction of new production lines, the warehouse storage system has received a significant update. The New Package Area System introduces specialized logistics to your lumber mill, helping you organize your inventory better and streamline fulfillment for major delivery orders.
How to Access
The updated warehouse interface can be viewed automatically by visiting your main factory storage floor. The new dedicated storage slots dynamically adjust based on the current machine layout of your lumber mill.
Core Mechanics
The package area now operates on a segmented logic system to prevent bottlenecks and ensure smooth automation:
- Dedicated Storage Slots: Each individual production line now has its own designated storage slot. Only the specific lumber items manufactured on that exact line will be gathered in its corresponding slot.
- Progressive Availability: A storage section is locked by default and becomes available only after you purchase and place at least one machine on its corresponding production line.
- Strict Resource Filtration: Each section is highly specialized. It can only be filled with the specific resources listed for its line, ensuring different tiers of processed wood never get mixed up.
Tips and Strategies
Prevent Production Halts: Since slots are now separated, a backup on one specific production line won't instantly freeze your entire warehouse. Keep an eye on lines that fill up quickly and prioritize those delivery orders.
Expand Evenly: When upgrading your sawmill, try to open new lines progressively. Activating at least one machine on a new line immediately unlocks its warehouse section, giving your logistics team more total room to operate.
