Feature Overview

Reputation Points are a highly valuable administrative asset in Lumber Inc, serving as the core currency for intellectual and property expansions. If you suddenly notice a sharp dip or a complete drop in your Reputation counter, rest assured that your points were not lost due to a system error. Instead, this currency operates on an Instant Deduct Model, meaning points are immediately spent behind the scenes the exact moment you confirm various high-tier developmental upgrades.

How to Access

You can monitor your real-time Reputation balance from the star-shaped counter located on the main top-bar resource dashboard. This currency is drawn from directly when interact with your Workshop Blueprint Library or your forest's Botanical Card Collection.

Core Mechanics & Expense Triggers

Reputation Points do not accumulate endlessly; they are meant to be actively reinvested into your corporate framework. There are three main gameplay features that instantly consume your Reputation Points upon confirmation:

  • Evolving House Blueprints: Upgrading your real estate portfolio inside the Workshop requires massive lump-sum investments of Reputation Points. Evolving a house blueprint permanently boosts its future payouts and build efficiency.

  • Evolving Tree Cards: Upgrading your gathered tree specimens to increase their passive factory-wide multipliers requires spending a combined balance of duplicate botanical cards and Reputation Points.

  • Unlocking or Upgrading New Varieties: Discovering and deploying a brand-new tree variety on your active forestry plots requires an initial administrative Reputation fee to clear it for cultivation.

💡 Why You Might Have Missed the Deduction: Because these financial subtractions happen fluidly the millisecond you click an upgrade button, it is incredibly easy to overlook the deduction—especially if you are focusing on the visual upgrade animations, chest opening sequences, or managing concurrent resource flows.

Tips and Strategies

  • Perform a Mental Double-Check: Before tapping a green upgrade button in either the Workshop or the Trees menu, make a habit of glancing at the cost icon. If the cost is displayed next to a purple star symbol, it will drain your Reputation pool rather than your standard cash or Biz Point balances.

  • Audit Your Order Queue: If an accidental upgrade leaves your Reputation balance at zero right before you need to unlock a new sawmill tier, don't panic. Pivot your strategy immediately to the Workshop, pick quick-build residential houses, and rapidly fulfill construction contracts to rebuild your reputation vault.
