The Piggy Bank is a special accumulative mechanic in Lumber Inc that allows you to save extra diamonds as you play. It serves as an excellent tool for stockpiling premium currency passively while you focus on upgrading your sawmill and expanding your business empire.

How to Access

The Piggy Bank icon appears directly on your main factory floor interface. You can tap it at any time to check its current fullness, view its capacity limit, and monitor active expiration timers.

Core Mechanics

The Piggy Bank operates on an exchange system based on your in-game activity and machine investments:

  • The Accumulation Rule: The Piggy Bank fills up when you spend diamonds or upgrade your production lines. For every 1 diamond you spend, the Piggy Bank receives 10 bonus diamonds.

  • Machine Evolutions: Evolving and upgrading your sawmill machinery also injects substantial amounts of bonus diamonds into the container.

  • Direct Rewards Exclusion: Diamonds earned directly from normal gameplay activities—such as completing orders, fulfilling Lumber Pass tasks, or hitting milestone event rewards—do not go into the Piggy Bank. They are instantly added to your main balance instead.

  • Storage Sizes: The Piggy Bank features different tier capacities. The standard, smallest bank holds up to 200 diamonds, while VIP players have access to larger banks with increased caps.

Critical Rules and Timers

⚠️ Strict Expiration Windows:

  • The 72-Hour Filling Window: The moment the Piggy Bank starts collecting diamonds, a 72-hour countdown timer triggers. You must fully fill and claim the bank before this timer hits zero, or the saved bonus diamonds will be permanently lost.

  • The 120-Hour Expiration Window: Once the Piggy Bank becomes completely full, you have a maximum of 120 hours (5 days) to break it open and collect your rewards. If left unclaimed past this limit, the full bank resets to zero.

  • Manual Break Required: You will not receive these diamonds automatically when the timer ends or when it fills up. You must manually break the Piggy Bank to claim your contents.

Tips and Strategies

  • Sync Your Spending: Time your large-scale diamond expenses or machine evolutions right after a fresh Piggy Bank cycle begins. This maximizes your conversion rate and fills the bank almost instantly.

  • Track Your Timers: Always keep an eye on the expiration clocks within the Piggy Bank menu. Do not let your hard-earned bonus diamonds vanish due to an expired countdown!
