Feature Overview

Maintaining a steady, uninterrupted supply of timber is the foundation of any successful sawmill operation. Buying new forests expands your available log harvesting real estate, allows you to employ more workers simultaneously, and ensures your lumber production lines never sit idle waiting for raw materials.

How to Access

You can manage your wood sourcing areas by directly tapping anywhere on your active forest zone (where your lumberjacks are harvesting trees) on the left side of the main sawmill screen. This action automatically opens the Forests tab.

Core Mechanics

Your expansion into new timber territory is governed by simple progression checks:

  • The Forests Directory: Once you open the Forests tab, you will see a complete grid of all available plots of land, including those you currently own and those still locked.

  • Prerequisites: Each locked forest plot features its own unique cost (paid in in-game cash) or specific milestone requirements.

  • Worker Expansion: Buying a new forest immediately increases your maximum staffing potential, allowing you to hire more tree planters and lumberjacks to scale up your resource income.

Tips and Strategies

  • Balance Your Workforce: Whenever you purchase a new piece of land, don't forget to head to your HR/Manager menu to hire and upgrade additional tree planters and lumberjacks. A larger forest is only useful if you have the workforce to cultivate and harvest it efficiently!

  • Upgrade Land Alongside Machines: As you unlock faster milling lines down the road, your raw log consumption will skyrocket. Make it a habit to check the Forests tab regularly to expand your land supply ahead of your factory upgrades.
