    Upgrading your factory to a new level is the ultimate goal in Lumber Inc. Moving to a more advanced sawmill acts as a Prestige mechanic: while it resets your physical machinery and current cash balance, it unlocks groundbreaking features, new resource types, specialized managers, and a massive, permanent income multiplier that catapults your earning potential.

    How to Access

    You can view the requirements for your next factory and initiate your relocation by tapping the Stats/Sawmill icon on your main interface screen. This menu displays the required amount of cash and Reputation Points needed to level up.

    Core Mechanics & Factory Tiers

    There are currently 18 levels (sawmills) available in the game. Each factory brings unique capabilities to your timber business. Here is a complete chronological breakdown of every available tier:

    Tier 1: Early Automation & Foundational Setup

    • Basic Sawmill: This is where you start your journey! You will learn the basics of harvesting trees and milling simple wood logs.

    • Medium Sawmill: Unlocks the first stage of the Workshop, allowing you to dip your toes into house building. You can also hire your first dedicated sales manager, Brandon.

    • Modern Sawmill: Allows you to completely finish constructing the Workshop so you can fulfill advanced house blueprints for massive profits. It also unlocks the Resaw Machine 1, grants access to sales manager Ms. Megan, and lets you plant cone-shaped trees.

    • Advanced Sawmill: Expands your milling lines with Resaw Machines 2 and 3, and unlocks sales manager Ms. Rachel.

    Tier 2: Refined Materials & Advanced Blueprints

    • Computerized Sawmill: Grants the ability to plant yellow trees, unlocks the Chalet blueprint in your Workshop, and opens access to sales manager Ryan.

    • Cutting-Edge Sawmill: Expands line 1 further by unlocking the Sanding Machine 1 and introducing the coastal Bungalow blueprint.

    • High-Tech Sawmill: Unlocks the Sanding Machine 2 alongside the premium Wooden Villa and Orange Lodge structural blueprints.

    • Ultra Modern Sawmill: Adds heavy-duty engineering options by introducing the Oak Barn and Seaside Villa blueprints.

    • Robotic Sawmill: Fully maximizes your sanding capabilities by unlocking the Sanding Machine 3 and the highly profitable Sunshine Villa blueprint.

    Tier 3: Elite Sci-Fi Industries

    The following endgame sawmills do not introduce new blueprints, but they offer monumental permanent income multipliers and increased reward structures required to max out high-level manager cards:

Important Rules

⚠️ The Point of No Return: Relocating to a new factory is entirely permanent. You cannot go back to a previous sawmill level once you upgrade. > Before pressing the upgrade button, ensure your Production Managers are at a high enough level to automate your forklifts and log trucks instantly in the new level, otherwise your production speed will temporarily drop.
