If you notice your production lines sitting completely idle despite having plenty of logs in stock, your forklift drivers may have fallen asleep on the job. This is a built-in gameplay mechanic tied directly to your factory's leadership and automation structure. Keeping your logistics team alert is vital for maintaining a smooth, high-yield supply chain.

How to Access

You can monitor your logistics team's alertness level and wake up sleeping drivers directly by opening the Order Status window from your main factory view, or by reviewing your logistics staff levels inside the Managers Deck (represented by the hardhat icon on the bottom menu bar).

Core Mechanics

The alertness and automation of your transport fleet are governed by a strict administrative hierarchy:

  • The Leadership Gap: Forklift drivers fall asleep when their corresponding Logistics Manager’s level is too low to handle the current technology tier of your sawmill.

  • The Sawmill Scaling Rule: Moving to a more advanced, higher-tier sawmill increases the technological complexity of your production line. As a result, higher sawmills require incrementally higher manager levels to keep the drivers permanently awake and fully automated.

  • Manual Wake-Up System: If your manager doesn't meet the automation threshold, you must act as a hands-on foreman. Open the Order Status window where you will see a specialized Wake Up button next to the inactive vehicles. Tapping this button instantly wakes up your drivers and gets your transport fleet moving again.

Tips and Strategies

  • Upgrade Ahead of Relocation: To completely avoid frustrating factory downtime, always check your manager levels before upgrading your sawmill. Levelling up your Logistics Managers early ensures that your forklifts remain automated the exact second you boot up your new factory floor.

  • Watch for the "Zzz" Indicators: Keep an eye on the physical yard. Sleeping drivers will display floating snooze bubbles above their vehicles. If you see these icons, make it a priority to jump into the manager menu and hunt for matching character cards to upgrade their leadership stats.
