Feature Overview
Running a massive, automated industrial complex by yourself is impossible. Managers are your core leadership workforce in Lumber Inc, serving as the backbone of your factory's automation and passive income structure. Hiring and leveling up these specialists allows you to keep your laborers working efficiently without manual tapping, unlocks high-speed transit operations, and applies massive profit multipliers to your timber sales.
How to Access
You can manage your corporate personnel, review character card balances, and execute staff promotions by tapping the Hardhat Icon on the bottom menu bar to open your Managers Deck.
Core Mechanics & Manager Categories
Your corporate hierarchy is split into five distinct functional departments. Each tier features unique rarity borders, strict level caps, and dedicated roles across your business layout:
1. Production Managers
Rarity: Rare (Blue)
Role: They manage the physical sawmill floor, automating lumberjacks, tree planters, log trucks, forklifts, debarkers, resaw machines, and sanders.
Maximum Level: 25
2. Workshop Managers
Rarity: Rare (Blue)
Role: They supervise your building development zone, accelerating house construction speeds and material delivery processing within the Workshop.
Maximum Level: 15
3. Sales Managers
Rarity: Epic (Purple)
Role: They handle order negotiation and warehouse logistics. This category includes characters like Samuel (auto-orders) and specialized agents who boost specific item values.
Maximum Level: 15 (Note: Brandon is an exception; his maximum level cap is 10).
4. Village Managers
Rarity: Epic (Purple)
Role: They oversee residential properties and real estate growth inside your local Lumber Village, boosting passive coin generation.
Maximum Level: 10
5. Super Managers
Rarity: Legendary (Yellow)
Role: Elite global corporate executives (like Mr. Bill Mark) who provide sweeping, high-value passive perks across your entire empire, such as direct diamond generation or universal speed boosts.
Maximum Level: 10

Where to Find Manager Cards
To hire a manager or trigger a level promotion, you must accumulate a set number of duplicate character cards hidden inside specific supply containers. Card packs are heavily segregated by operational department:
Production Cards: Found in standard Free Chests (available on a daily timer) and premium Premium Chests inside the Shop.
Workshop Cards: Sourced exclusively by opening specialized Workshop Chests earned via building contracts.
Sales Cards: Unlocked by breaking open purple administrative Biz Chests in the store.
Village Cards: Found by collecting and opening House Owner Chests inside the residential village map.
Super Manager Cards: Extremely rare cards obtained only as high-tier milestone prizes or leaderboard placement rankings during Weekly Events and via the Lumber Pass reward track.

Tips and Strategies
Watch Out for Diamond Auto-Fills: If you attempt to upgrade a manager but lack the necessary amount of matching character cards, the game interface will automatically display a premium Diamond cost instead. Always check your card inventory before tapping to avoid accidentally spending premium currency on a standard staff promotion!
