EXP (experience) points are needed to upgrade the village houses. Each upgrade gives more bonuses to your sawmill. You can get the XP points by fulfilling workshop orders.

 

 

 

Please note that if you evolve blueprints level, it won't influence the house level as their levels can be increased only using the EXP points.
