Village Coins (also referred to as Village Points) serve as the exclusive premium currency generated entirely within the residential expansion sector of Lumber Inc. Managing a successful timber empire requires a balance between industrial lumber production and urban town development. By building and maintaining residential properties, players generate a steady stream of secondary currency used to secure elite card packs and manager upgrades that directly boost primary sawmill operations.

How to Access

Once the residential expansion sector is unlocked on your account, you can access your town overview by tapping the Lumber Village icon located in the lower-right corner of your main factory screen. The total amount of currency you currently hold is displayed in the dedicated Purple Coin counter at the top of the Village interface dashboard.

Core Mechanics

Maximizing your residential economy requires an understanding of how houses generate currency and how town administrators optimize that output:

  • The Basic Production Cycle: Every completed residential house in the Village operates on an independent timer loop. When a building's production countdown finishes, it generates a fixed stack of Village Coins.

  • Manual Harvesting: By default, once a house finishes its cycle, a coin icon will float above the building. You must manually tap the building to collect the coins and add them to your bank. New cycles will not begin until the finished coins are harvested.

  • Automated House Managers: Collecting coins can be fully automated by unlocking and upgrading specialized House Managers.

  • Manager Stat Multipliers: Different administrators provide unique structural buffs to your town's economy:

    • Income Boosters: Certain managers provide a direct percentage increase to the total amount of coins a specific building generates per cycle.

    • Efficiency Boosters: Other managers specialize in logistics, increasing the baseline collection speed or completely automating the harvesting process so houses run continuously in the background.

Where to Spend Village Coins

The primary goal of building a thriving residential economy is reinvesting your urban profits back into your industrial sawmill.

Accumulated Village Coins can be spent exclusively in the Village Shop to purchase high-value assets, including:

  • Premium Resource Chests: Buy rare item crates containing advanced equipment and structural blueprints.

  • Sawmill Manager Cards: Purchase specific character cards required to level up your primary factory supervisors, boosting your automated wood processing speeds and order board payouts.

Tips and Strategies

  • Prioritize Automation First: Focus your early Village resources on leveling up your House Managers until they unlock automated harvesting. Once your town runs on autopilot, you will accumulate massive stacks of coins passively without needing to constantly micromanage the town screen.

  • Save for Biz Chests: Resist the temptation to buy low-tier cards individually in the shop. Save your Village Coins to buy premium chests, as they offer the highest drop rates for rare managers that can permanently transform your main factory’s income potential.
