If you notice that your forge appears to have stopped working or looks completely frozen, don't worry! Your game is running exactly as intended. This common misunderstanding happens naturally as you reach higher levels.
Reason 1: The Animation is Too Fast to See
At high levels, the speed of the Forge increases drastically. The wheel begins to spin so rapidly that the animation's frame rate creates an optical illusion, making it appear completely static, frozen, or stuck in place. Rest assured, it is still processing your resources behind the scenes!
Reason 2: The Income Scaling Illusion
As you progress deeper into a mine, your automated lower shafts start producing massive amounts of currency.
Compared to those high-tier deep shafts, the financial contribution of the Forge becomes incredibly small.
Because its production is minuscule compared to your total automated hoard, you will not visually see your main Gold counter jumping up from the forge's output alone. It is still contributing, but it is heavily outweighed by your mining shafts.
