In the Tower, the heroes have only one life left, which means that if you received damage during the battle, on the next floor, the damage done to the hero will also be displayed in the next battle. If the hero dies, they will be unlocked only after Tower restarts.

Tapping the green button in the upper left corner of the screen you can restart the Tower. It does not matter whether you finished the Tower or not, it still will be restarted.
