While exploring the locations, you will find different resources and expendables to help you in your playthrough. Those are:

Gold - your main currency. Use it to hire new workers, upgrade buildings, and buy boosters. The more you upgrade your restaurant, the more gold coins you will receive.
You can also get huge amounts of gold from Lucky Wheel.

Gems are an extremely rare special currency used to buy items from the store.
You earn gems in quests, the Lucky Wheel, the Premium Pass and daily rewards.

Gems can be used to buy:
- Boosters - they can help you get more income;
- Upgrades in the safe (Speed booster, Bedtime, Scavengers Luck) - they will help you to increase offline earnings, ad boost multipliers, etc.);
- Chests in the store which contain pets and peaceful gear;
- Vouchers are used to get tactical equipment or pets.

Shovels are specific game items that help you loot items that help you fight zombies.  When you loot items, you can find different items useful for Zombie and Arena fights. 

Blue Vouchers are specific game items that provide you an opportunity to participate in the Arena fights. 

Green Vouchers are specific game items that you can use to get tactical gear.

Pet vouchers are specific game items that you can use to get new pets.   

Black Vouchers are specific game items that you can use to unlock new characters.  

Threads are specific game items that you use to upgrade your flag. There are 2 types of threads in the game: common (orange) and golden thread.  Both are used to upgrade flags. 

Pet bones are special game items that you can use to level up your pet.
