While advertisements help keep Idle Outpost free to play for everyone, we understand that broken, unclosable, or inappropriate ads completely ruin your survival momentum.

Because ads are supplied dynamically by external third-party ad networks, our developers don't manually choose every video that plays on your device. However, we take your user experience incredibly seriously and will actively block any malicious, broken, or offensive ads from our game — we just need your help to track them down!

Here is how to quickly resolve an active ad lockup and how to report problematic ads, so our team can help remove them.

🛠️ Step 1: Quick Fixes for Frozen or Unclosable Ads

If an ad crashes halfway through, completely freezes your screen, or refuses to display the close ("X") button after finishing, your best move is a quick reset:

  1. Force Close the App: Don't just minimize the game. Completely swipe it away from your device's active memory pool and relaunch it.

  2. Watch for Invisible or Delayed Timers: Many modern mobile ads display a tiny arrow or an invisible timer circle in the top corners first. You often have to tap this arrow before the actual "X" button appears a few seconds later.

📸 Step 2: What We Need to Block a "Bad Ad" Permanently

To completely ban an offensive or broken ad from our game's regional ad pool, our team must identify the specific ad network that served it.

Whenever you encounter an inappropriate ad or one that consistently crashes your device, please take a quick mental note (or preferably a screenshot) of the following information before reaching out to us:

  • 📸 A Screenshot or Screen Recording: This is the single most important piece of evidence! Try to capture a screenshot of the ad content itself, the final screen, or any small icons/text in the corners showing the ad provider's brand (like a tiny "i" or a blue triangle).

  • 🎮 The App or Product Name: Exactly what app, game, or service was being advertised?

  • 🌍 Your Country or Region: Ad networks serve videos based entirely on your physical location. 

📩 Step 3: How to Submit Your Report

Google Play Store:

  • Open the Google Play Store.
  • Find the app in the store.
  • Scroll down to the "Flag as inappropriate" section.
  • Select "Ads" or "Contains ads" if you’re reporting an ad-related issue, then follow the steps to complete the report.

Apple App Store:

  • Open the App Store and locate the game.
  • Scroll down and tap on "Report a Problem".
  • Select the appropriate reason for your report related to ads. 
If none of the options above are available:
  • In-Game Support: Go to your Settings (☰) > Support, open a ticket, select the Ads Issues category, and attach your screenshots.

  • Via Email: At [email protected]. Be sure to copy and paste your User ID (Settings → Account → Copy ID).
